Bye bye summer – fifth birthday fun and funding!
The clocks are about to go back, but before British Summer Time ends, here’s a quick catch up on some of the fabulous things that have happened to Share Salisbury this summer. We turned five! Here we are about to tuck in to a cake (made with Share’s very own five cake mould and decorated in Share colours, of course). Cheers to you all – as we reach nearly 6,000 borrows and 2,000 borrowers we are hoping for another successful five years 😊
Although our birthday was in June, we delayed our celebration because we were busy with the move. We have now been in our new home on Ashfield Trading Estate for four months – and we love it. If you haven’t been to see us – come check it out!
Summer is our busiest time of year – it’s a constant whirl of checking-in and checking-out our marquees, gazebos, garden games and pressure washers as our borrowers attend summer events and their gardens. But in the heat of the summer our pressure washers and a gazebo broke. We cried help and you heard us: our crowdfunder raised enough to replace the items and more. Thank you again to all of those who chipped in!
